Turn on dark mode in Google Chrome (2020)

 

Google Chrome has many features, and one feature is Force Dark Mode. In a recent update, this feature was added to the experimental flag. Unlike Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge, Chrome does not have a dark theme feature that can be enabled using a simple pane with a check box or drop-down menu enabled.

There are different ways to enable dark mode in Google Chrome for different operating systems. That’s why I’ve put together a list of all the methods that will guide how you can take the dark mode in Google Chrome for Windows, MacOS for Android, and iOS.

Why should you turn on dark mode in Chrome? The No. 1 reason is obvious, you’re less exposed to blue light, phones / tablets with OLED screens save battery, put less strain on your eyes when you use PCs / phones at night, and sometimes it looks better than traditional white background websites. How do I enable dark mode in Google Chrome for Windows 10?

Phase 1: Mene settings -> Accommodation -> Colors. On the right you can see ‘Select default application mode’.

Step 2: Change this to ‘Dark’ and all apps with native dark mode, including Chrome, will turn the color dark. You do not need to restart your browser. This is how it looks.

How do I enable dark mode in Google Chrome for macOS?

  1. Open system Settings -> General -> Appearance.
  2. choose ‘Dark’ option. As with Windows, all applications with a native dark state change automatically.

There are 2 methods, one of which changes only the Chrome interface, which means that only the browser interface is made dark, and the other method is “Force Dark Mode for Web Content,” which turns any website into a dark state. Step 2: Tap Get tickets and write the word Dark. You’ll find three options: Force Dark Mode for Web Content, Android Chrome UI Dark Mode, and Security interstitials dark mode.

Step 3: Choose ‘Force dark space for web content ‘ and click the drop-down menu (which is the default) and select In use. There are other options that you can try one by one and choose the one that works best for you.

Step 4: Now all websites are in a dark state. Here’s how it looks: The left image is a light state and the right image is a dark state.

How do I enable dark mode in Google Chrome for iOS?

Phase 1: Go to Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Appearance.

How do I enable dark mode for websites in Google Chrome?

The forced dark mode deployment process is similar to Android.

Phase 1: Open Google Chrome and paste the following address into your browser’s address bar.

Step 2: Now you see “Force dark space for web content” with Supposition option. Click on it now and a list of options will appear and select In use option.

Step 3: Restart A pop-up window will appear and after restarting it will appear.

If you don’t like the dark mode feature, you can repeat from Phase 1 and select Disabled option.
